Logic4training’s Oil Installation & Energy Conservation (OFT105E) training course is aimed at installers who want to become OFTEC registered as domestic light/commercial oil firing tank installation technicians.
The course covers regulations and standards, installation practice, system design and safety requirements.
Logic4training’s Oil Installation & Energy Conservation training course (OFT105E) provides training and assessment on the practical elements, regulations and standards applying to domestic oil firing installation and energy conservation measures in buildings.
It is ideal for candidates aiming to become OFTEC registered as domestic light/commercial oil firing tank installation technicians.
This course is also delivered as part of our Oil Boiler Package course.
This course includes training and assessment on OFT105E oil firing tank installation and energy conservation, including:
- Oil fired boiler safety requirements
- Types of oil firing and cooking equipment
- Oil storage (less than 3500litres)
- Fuel feed-pipe-work
- Oil fired boiler flueing and ventilation
- Boiler changeover
- Oil fired heating system design, including L1
The cost of the course includes training, assessment and certification fee.
OFT105E is best suited to experience installers.
Candidates must meet OFTEC entry requirements 1,2 and 3.

There are two training manuals (modules 1 & 2 plus 1 binder) required in total which costs £110.
