These courses can be used as an introduction for engineers working with refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, and as a refresher for existing installers before they undertake F Gas category 1 certification.
Logic4training’s Basic F-Gas Refrigeration course provides an understanding of refrigeration and air conditioning fundamentals, terminology and equipment application, covering both theory and practical elements.
This course can be used as an introduction for engineers working with Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC) equipment, and as a refresher for existing installers before they undertake F Gas Category 1 Certification.
This comprehensive F Gas training course provides a basic understanding of the fundamentals, terminology and equipment application, ideal for engineers who have just started working with RAC equipment, or who plan to in the future.
Candidates will learn how a basic RAC system functions, practical techniques, such as pipework joining and brazing, and legal obligations relating to the F Gas Regulations.
The course can also be used to improve, enhance and update the skills of engineering personnel before they undertake the Level 3 F-Gas Category 1 course.
Both theory and practical aspects are covered, and where applicable, exercises are undertaken to develop the necessary skills.
There are no specific prerequisites for this course, but students would typically be engineers working with, or planning to work with RAC system – installing, servicing, designing or surpervising equipment that uses F Gas.
This course also provides an excellent refresher and is useful as preparatory training for a Category 1, F-Gas Certification Course.
Theoretical principles covered, include:
- SI Engineering units
- Refrigeration cycles
- Components & controls
- Vapour compression cycle
- Basic use of a Pressure-Enthalpy chart
- Refrigerants and the environment, including alternative refrigerants
- The F Gas Regulations and other legal obligations
- Introduction into more complex systems.
Practical areas covered, include:
- Pipe work joining techniques, such as brazing etc.
- Fault diagnosis
- Evacuation
- Dehydration
- Refrigerant charging
- Refrigerant recovery.
A certificate of attendance will be provided.
