Dual Fuel Smart Meter Installer New Entrant Training Course
Logic4training’s New Entrant Smart Meter Installer – Dual Fuel Managed Learning Programme is for learners who are new to the industry and wish to learn how to install and exchange Dual Fuel Smart Meters in domestic dwellings. It is also suitable for existing gas metering installers who are upskilling to dual fuel smart meter installers.
The Logic4training New Entrant Smart Meter Installer – Dual Fuel managed learning programme provides learners with the practical skills and underpinning knowledge to install gas & power smart meters and to work safely in line with industry regulations, codes of practices and guidelines.
Learners will undertake learning at our training centre. This enables learners to practice and learn installing and exchanging power smart meters in a safe and controlled environment which simulates real work situations.
When the fundamental principles of installing and exchanging dual fuel smart meters have been learnt, learners commence their on-site supervised work practice under the supervision of a competent and experienced smart meter installer. This person acts as the learner’s mentor who provides advice, guidance and support in addition to confirming when and where the learner has met the required standard for installing and exchanging dual fuel smart meters. During this mentoring period, learners will be required to build a portfolio of completed supervised work.
The final week includes initial ACS & CoMCoP assessments and NSAP-approved assessments for EUSR registration for Single-Phase, Multi-Rate & Single-Phase off Multi-Phase & Gas Low Pressure.
The course costs include training, assessment, portfolio guidance and EUSR registration.
No experience is required, but an aptitude for practical skills, basic numeracy, and literacy is required. The course is aimed at candidates new to the smart metering industry or candidates who have prior gas and electrical experience but do not hold the relevant metering qualifications.
Applicants must be working for a smart metering installer to support the required mentoring period.
