Logic4training’s New Entrant Smart Meter Installer Training Course in Gas, is a managed learning programme for learners that are new to the industry and wish to learn how to install and exchange Gas Smart Meters in domestic dwellings. It is also suitable for existing Power metering installers who are upskilling to dual fuel smart meter installers.
This MLP covers domestic gas meter installation, combining in-centre learning with on-the-job experience, where candidates build a portfolio of evidence under the supervision of a registered gas engineer.
Learners will undertake learning at our training centre. This enables learners to practice and learn installing and exchanging power smart meters in a safe and controlled environment which simulates real work situations.
Recognised by ACS, the package includes gas safety assessments CMA3 – which tests competence in core domestic metering work and MET1, which covers the installation, exchange, removal and commissioning of domestic gas meters. CMA1, which focuses on the installation and exchange of domestic and commercial gas meters, can also be delivered.
Primary and secondary meters, up to six cubic meters per hour are covered, plus the full range of gas fittings.
The final week includes initial ACS assessments and NSAP-approved assessments for EUSR registration for Gas Low Pressure.
The cost of the course includes training, assessment, portfolio guidance and EUSR registration.
