The 17th Edition Wiring Regulations came into effect in 2008, providing an update to BS 7671, which had not been reviewed since 1991. If you’re looking for 17th edition training courses in London, Logic4training delivers the City & Guilds course from west (Northolt), east (Basildon) and north (Luton) locations. The main aim of changes to the 16th edition are to prevent injuries to people and livestock, and protect property from damage caused by voltage disturbances and the effects of electromagnetics, as well as bringing the regulations in-line with the rest of Europe. If you’re planning to attend a 17th edition wiring regulations training at our London centres, here’s what you can expect to cover:
  • Using the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Selection and sizing of cables
  • Sizing of protective devices
  • Bonding requirements
  • Layout of the regulations
  • New definitions
  • Tables
  • Special locations such as bathrooms, marinas and fairgrounds
