Logic4training has three training routes to achieving the LCL Awards NVQ in Plumbing and Heating qualification, each designed for candidates with existing related qualifications and/or experience. We will assess your ability to determine which route is most appropriate.
A Level 2 Plumbing NVQ is a necessary requirement of application for a JIB Plumbing CSCS card, as well as WRAS/WIAPS Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme.
The pre-assessment is priced from £195 +VAT and is required prior to taking this course.
For candidates who hold an LCL Awards Level 2 Plumbing & Heating Diploma
1-day training and assessment
+ Portfolio & Onsite Assessment
Logic4training delivers the LCL Awards Level 2 Plumbing & Heating Diploma as part of its comprehensive range of plumbing packages. If this has already been achieved, the NVQ element can simply be bolted on, topping up existing skills learnt in the classroom.
Route 1 is available to trainees who have completed the LCL Awards Level 2 Plumbing & Heating Diploma at any centre, not just Logic4training.
We will also need to know any other related qualifications you might hold, including:
- Domestic Gas ACS (CENWAT)
- OFTEC Oil
- HETAS
- WRAS
- Hot Water Systems & Safety (HWSS)
- Legionella
- Underfloor Heating
- Renewables (heat pumps/solar thermal)
Candidates will spend up to two days in the centre where they will receive an introduction to the NVQ, including a briefing session for the portfolio, which will be completed on site – a key part of the NVQ process.
Portfolio: To complete the portfolio, candidates must carry out two witnessed assessments for the installation of a bathroom and central heating/hot water system. These can be logged and uploaded using our e-portfolio platform. Included within the price is for Logic4training to carry out the On-Site assessments within a defined geographic area which is London and the Home Counties (Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire, Bucks, Beds, Herts, Essex). Anywhere outside of this area may incur an additional charge unless the onsite assessment can be carried out via a remote portal (subject to prior approval and requires specific equipment and Apps)
WRAS: A WRAS certificate is an entry requirement for the WIAPS Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme, candidates who don’t already have this can add on for an extra cost (this is a one day, in-centre course).
For candidates who hold an alternative recognised plumbing qualification
